Are Krishna's Multiple Forms the Same as a Yogi's Kayavyuh Deh?
Krishna's multiple Divine Forms are eternal Prabhav Deh, not temporary Kayavyuh Deh created through yogic power.
Question
Shri Krishna simultaneously appeared in 16,100 forms to marry the princesses rescued from Narakasur. During the Maharas, He also manifested innumerable forms to dance personally with every Gopi. Yogis are said to create multiple bodies through Kayavyuh Deh. Are these the same?
Answer
No.
Although both involve many visible forms, they are fundamentally different.
When Shri Krishna accepted the 16,100 princesses in marriage, He simultaneously appeared in 16,100 personal forms. Likewise, during the Maharas, He manifested innumerable forms so that every Gopi experienced His personal company.
These were Prabhav Deh—God's eternal Divine Forms revealed through His Yogmaya Shakti. Shri Krishna did not create new bodies. Being eternally present in every particle, He simply revealed the Divine Forms that already exist there.
A yogi’s Kayavyuh Deh is entirely different.
By the power of Yog, Saubhari Muni created fifty bodies to marry the fifty daughters of King Mandhata. These were temporary bodies (Kayavyuh Deh) created through yogic power. A yogi is not omnipresent. Each additional body must be deliberately created through yogic power. Because that power is finite, using it diminishes the yogi's spiritual energy. God's power, by contrast, is infinite and is never exhausted.
Kayavyuh Deh involves creating temporary additional bodies through finite yogic power. God's multiple Divine Forms are entirely different. They are eternal Prabhav Deh that already exist in every particle because God Himself is eternally present in every particle. Through His Yogmaya Shakti, He simply reveals these ever-existing Divine Forms whenever He chooses.
