A human at a crossroads representing Karma Yoni, with paths toward material enjoyment, liberation, and devotion.
The human form is Karma Yoni, in which the Jeev undergoes allotted past karma while also having the freedom to choose what to pursue.

Karma Yoni (कर्म योनि | karma yoni) is a Yoni in which the Jeev is entitled to perform fruit-bearing actions.

Of the 8.4 million material life forms, only the human form is a karma yoni. In the human form, the Jeev has freedom of will and can pursue bhukti (material enjoyment), mukti (liberation), or bhakti (devotion).

Please Note: Even in Karma Yoni, the Jeev also undergoes the allotted fruits of previous karma. These are the fruits of actions that the Jeev itself performed in its previous human lives and that God has allocated to be borne in the present life. They are predetermined and must be endured.
