Dari Ke (दारी के)

Dari Ke (दारी के | dārī kē) is a cuss word used by the Gopis of Braj when speaking to Shri Krishna.

Outwardly, the Gopis may appear to be insulting or scolding Shri Krishna for His behavior. But their harsh words do not come from anger or ill will. Behind them is their unconditional love for Him.

Their only desire is to please Shri Krishna. Their love is so intimate that they do not maintain the ordinary formality one might expect toward God. They may even scold Him or call Him names. Shri Krishna loves hearing such words from the Gopis because He knows the love from which they arise.

Nishkamata (निष्कामता)

Nishkamata (निष्कामता | niṣkāmatā) means freedom from the desire for one’s own happiness. In Bhakti, nishkamata does not mean having no desires. A devotee may intensely desire to see God, remember Him, serve Him, love Him, and please Him. What changes is the purpose of those desires.
