Sanatan dharma (सनातन धर्म, sanātana dharma ) literal meaning "eternal rules".

Modern name of the eternal religion based on Shruti and Smriti is Hinduism. It contains knowledge for the spiritual wellbeing of all souls (jeev), and guidelines that will lead to God-realization if adhered to.
