Vikarm (विकर्म)
Vikarm refers to actions contrary to scriptural guidance that increase suffering, bondage, and distance from spiritual progress.
Vikarm (विकर्म | vikarma) refers to actions that are contrary to scriptural guidance and are performed without bhakti of God.
A person who neither performs the duties prescribed by the Vedas nor engages in bhakti of God follows the path of Vikarm.
Generally speaking, sinful actions are known as Vikarm.
Unlike Karm, which produces favorable worldly or heavenly results, Vikarm produces suffering and leads to hell (narak) after death.
For this reason, the scriptures repeatedly warn against Vikarm and encourage seekers to adopt a path connected with bhakti of God.
