Ramban (रामबाण)

An unfailing remedy or solution, like Shri Ram's arrow, that is certain to achieve its intended result.

Shri Ram drawing his bow, with an arrow aimed unwaveringly toward its intended target.
Shri Ram's unfailing arrow gives Ramban its meaning: a remedy or solution certain to achieve its intended result.

Ramban (रामबाण | rāmabāṇa) means an unfailing remedy or solution—something certain to achieve its intended result.

The expression comes from Shri Ram's arrow (baan), which unfailingly strikes its intended target. This is also conveyed by expressions such as achook nishana (an aim that never misses) and amogh baan (an unfailing arrow).

In Shri Maharaj Ji's teachings, bhakti is described as an Ramban dava or amogh dava—an unfailing remedy for the soul's suffering. Through regular and diligent practice, bhakti gradually purifies the mind and reduces worldly attachment. Ultimately, through Guru's grace, it leads to God-realization.

Thus, Ramban conveys the certainty of the remedy, while amogh describes its unfailing effectiveness.
