Bhagavadprapti (भगवद्प्राप्ति)
God-realization is the attainment of God, when the jeev can directly perceive His divine form through all five senses.
Bhagavadprapti (भगवद्प्राप्ति | bhagavadprāpti) means attaining God, or God-realization.
We possess five senses through which we perceive the material world: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell.
For a mayabaddha jeev, these senses are made of Maya. Some people's senses are more acute than others, but no matter how powerful they become, material senses cannot perceive anything divine.
God is divine. Therefore, although He is omnipresent, we cannot perceive Him through our material senses before God-realization.
Bhagavadprapti is the attainment of God in which the jeev can directly perceive Brahm, the Supreme God, in His divine form through all five senses.
After God-realization, the jeev can:
- See God's divine form, infinitely more soothing than rain-laden clouds.
- Hear God's words, infinitely sweeter than the cooing of a nightingale.
- Touch God's divine skin, infinitely more lustrous than a blue diamond and more tender than the petals of a blue lotus.
- Taste God's prasad, infinitely more delicious than ambrosia.
- Smell the fragrance of God's divine body, infinitely more fragrant than a blue lotus.
