kanishtha adhikari | कनिष्ठ अधिकारी
A kanishtha adhikari (Devanagari: कनिष्ठ अधिकारी ISO15919: kaniṣṭha adhikārī) is someone who:
- Has little detachment from worldly things.
- Therefore, has little faith in God.
These individuals are still eligible to practice bhakti (devotion), but it's not an ideal combination for achieving the goal of bhakti. The Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu describes them as the least suitable for practicing devotion.
