kamadhenu | कामधेनु

Kamadhenu (Devanagari: कामधेनु; ISO 15919: kāmadhenu) refers to the celestial wish-fulfilling cow.

Residing in svarga (Heaven), she is capable of fulfilling any material desire of her owner. Vedas say all the deities (Devi-Devatas) live within her physical form, symbolizing her sacred and all-encompassing nature.

Legend of Raghu Her power is exemplified in the story of Raghu (son of King Dilip). When the sacrificial horse for the Ashvamedha Yajna was stolen, Raghu could not locate the thief. By applying Kamadhenu's milk to his eyes, he gained supernatural vision, allowing him to see that it was Indra—King of svarg— who had taken the horse.
