Bhakti Yoga — The Path
Once the goal of life becomes clear, a deeper question arises.
If God is the source of infinite happiness,
and the soul seeks only that happiness,
how can the soul attain Him?
The Limitation of Other Paths
The Vedic scriptures explain that God is Divine,
while the soul, in its present state, is bound by māyā.
Because of this:
- karma (ritual actions)
- gyan (intellectual knowledge)
cannot unite the soul with God.
They may purify or elevate the mind,
but they do not establish a direct relationship with Him.
The Path Forward
For this reason, the Vedic tradition declares:
God is attained only through Bhakti.
But Bhakti is not produced by effort.
So a natural inquiry begins:
- What is Bhakti?
- Why can it not be achieved?
- What must the soul do?
The following articles explore this path step by step.

The Next Inquiry
Bhakti reveals God.
But—
Who is the God you are loving?
You turn the mind toward Him.
You remember Him.
You seek to attach to Him.
Yet—
Is He:
- formless?
- with form?
Or both?
If this is unclear,
devotion cannot become steady.
To deepen Bhakti,
the nature of God must be understood clearly.
