Aarti (Devanagari: आरती ISO15919: āratī) is fire circumambulation of your Beloved Deity.
While doing aarti create a feeling of imbuing His energy in the kindled lamp. When done with circumambulation, then runs your hands over the flame and touch your eyes and head with those hands. This is called take aarti and signifies that you are taking in that energy of your Deity.
With such divine feelings perform the aarti to show your love and reverence to Hari and Guru. Without such feelings the actions of aarti is mere physical drill and yields no spiritual results.
