vinirgata grantha | विनिर्गत ग्रंथ

Vinirgat Granth (Devanagari: विनिर्गत ग्रंथ; ISO 15919: vinirgata graṁtha) literally means "The Scripture that Emerged."

This term is used to specifically refer to the Vedas, signifying their divine and non-created origin (Apaurusheya). The Vedas have emerged spontaneously from the very breath of Brahm— The Supreme Lord before the process of creation started.

Theological Significance This process makes the Vedas the ultimate and highest source of spiritual authority in Hindu theology, as they are a direct emanation of God Himself.

  • Alternate Term: Vinirgat Vani (Devanagari: विनिर्गत वाणी; ISO 15919: vinirgata vāṇī).
