Trisharira (Devanagari: त्रिशरीर; ISO 15919: triśarīra) refers to the Three Bodies.
The Bondage of the Soul Every Jiva (soul) under the control of Maya is encased in three distinct layers of material bodies. Collectively known as the Trisharira, these bodies constitute the bondage of the soul, obscuring its true divine nature.
- Sthula Sharira (Gross Body): the gross body,
- Sukshma Sharira (Subtle Body): the subtle body,
- Karana Sharira (Causal Body): the causal body.
