Trisharir-Three Bodies

Trisharir (Devanagari: त्रिशरीर ISO15919: triśarīra) means three bodies.
God has given three bodies to jeev under the bondage of Maya. These bodies are all made by Maya hence are material and transient.
These bodies and their brief description are given below.
Sthool sharir
Sthool sharir (Devanagari: स्थूल शरीर ISO15919: sthūla śarīra) is the gross material body that we can see. It is made of Panch Mahabhoot.
It comprises of physical body along with the pancha karmendriyan. Jeev has to leave this body behind at the time of death.
Sooksham sharir
sooksham sharir (Devanagari: सूक्ष्म शरीर ISO15919: sūkṣma śarīra) is the subtle body that cannot be seen.
This body comprises of pancha karmendriya, panch pran, panch gyanendriyan, mind, buddhi, and ahankar.
In your dreams you perform all your actions with this body. At the time of death this body goes along with the jeev.
Karan sharir
karan sharir (Devanagari: कारण शरीर ISO15919: kāraṇa śarīra) is the causal body. This is the body created by ones desires. This too goes with the jeev at the time of death.
During maha pralaya, the jeev is immersed in karnarnav (God's infinite belly) in a state of deep sleep. That time the jeev is free from the other 2 bodies but this body still stays with the jeev.
Nutshell
The above 3 bodies have eternally been associated with jeev but at God-realization jeev will become free from Maya. Hence, the jeev is released from all these material bodies as well. From the moment of God-realization the jeev is given a divine body which lasts forever.
Other bodies
Scriptures mention a few other types of bodies as well. These are not included in the trisharir or 3 material bodies.
Aativahik sharir
aativahik sharir (Devanagari: आतिवाहिक शरीर ISO15919: ātivāhika śarīra) is the after-death body which is made of air.
It is also called bhog sharir (Devanagari: भोग शरीर ISO15919: bhoga śarīra).
In this body jeev, along with sookshm sharir and karan sharir, goes to various lokas e.g. swarg, yamlok to bear fruits of his actions. In this aativahik sharir the jeev can withstand the gruesome punishments in narak for millions of human years without dying.
After undergoing the fruits of his actions, the aativahik sharir establishes the jeev in a mother's womb. There again another sthool sharir is created according to the past karmas of the jeev.
Bhav deh
bhav deh (Devanagari: भाव देह ISO15919: bhāva deha) is the divine body created when jeev performs devotion to God.
Jeev has been given the liberty to worship God with any of the four bhav.
The bhav that jeev chooses most often becomes predominant in bhav deh. Practice of bhakti strengthens (परिपक्व) this body.
That is why Jagadguruttam Swami Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj advises everyone to worship Shri Radha Krishna with nishkam madhurya bhav. So, bhav deh of nishkam madhurya bhav will be solidified and this sentiment will be carried to the next life.
