trigunatita | त्रिगुणातीत
Trigunatita (Devanagari: त्रिगुणातीत; ISO 15919: triguṇātīta) refers to one who has transcended the three gunas (modes) of Maya.
Etymology The term is a compound of Tri (three), Guna (modes/qualities), and Atita (beyond/transcendental). It describes a state of existence completely untouched by the influence of material energy.
The State of Transcendence While the material world operates under the three modes—Sattva (goodness), Rajas (passion), and Tamas (ignorance)—a Trigunatita personality exists beyond this binding force. Both God and God-realized Saints are Trigunatita; therefore, Maya and its vices cannot affect either of them.
