svamsha | स्वांश
Svamsha (Devanagari: स्वांश; ISO 15919: svāṁśa) refers to a Personal Expansion or plenary portion of God.
Nature of Expansion Unlike the individual soul (Jiva), which is a separated part (Vibhinnansha), a Svamsha is a direct manifestation of the Supreme Lord Himself.
- Identity: All Avatars (incarnations) of God are His Svamsha. They are identical to Shri Krishna in substance and divinity.
- Power: They are endowed with all the powers of Shri Krishna and serve as the masters and governors of Yogamaya Shakti.
- The Dynamic of Display: Although they possess omnipotence, they exhibit only those powers necessary for the specific purpose of their incarnation.
