sharat purnima | शरत पूर्णिमा

Sharat Purnima (Devanagari: शरत पूर्णिमा; ISO 15919: śarata pūrṇimā) refers to the Autumn Full Moon Night.

The Greatest Festival Occurring in the month of October (specifically the Hindu month of Ashvin), this night holds a unique status. Jagadguruttam Swami Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj proclaims this to be the greatest of all festivals, surpassing even Janmashtami or Diwali in spiritual significance.

The Night of Divine Dance It marks the celestial occasion when Shri Krishna played His flute and performed the Maharaas (The Great Divine Dance) with the Gopis of Vrindavan on the banks of the Yamuna river. According to scripture, this Maharaas represents the greatest bliss attainable by a jiva (soul)—the ultimate pinnacle of divine love.
