samnyasa ashrama | संन्यास आश्रम
Samnyasa Ashrama (Devanagari: संन्यास आश्रम; ISO 15919: saṁnyāsa āśrama) refers to the Stage of Renunciation.
The Final Stage It is the last of the four age-based stages (Ashramas) of the Vedic life cycle. Traditionally beginning at seventy-five years of age and lasting until death, this phase marks a complete withdrawal from worldly life.
Purpose Unlike the previous stages which involve social duties, the Samnyasa stage requires the individual to live in a renounced order. Free from familial obligations, the aspirant dedicates their remaining time exclusively to the pursuit of God-realization.
