Rang Ekadashi

Rang Ekadashi

Rang Ekadashi is celebrated on the 11th day of the waxing moon in the month of Phalgun.

From this day onwards, Shri Krishna begins playing Holi with colored water, marking the beginning of a period filled with divine joy and celebration.

This festival is not merely about colors. It represents the overflowing bliss of divine love. The colors symbolize the different moods of devotion—where the soul becomes absorbed in the remembrance of God. Just as colors cover the body externally, hues of divine love cover the mind and heart internally, removing worldly impressions and replacing them with God-centered thoughts.

For a seeker, Rang Ekadashi is a reminder to allow the mind to be colored in devotion. Instead of being influenced by the world, one should strive to be influenced by divine remembrance. When the mind becomes immersed in God in this way, devotion naturally becomes joyful, spontaneous, and deeply fulfilling.
