pracharak | प्रचारक

Pracharak (Devanagari: प्रचारक; ISO 15919: pracāraka) refers to a skilled, knowledgeable, and effective propagator of a Guru's teachings.

These individuals are experts who not only possess a deep understanding of the spiritual material but also actively explain and propagate it to others, often traveling to distant lands to do so.

Traditionally, a Pracharak is officially ordained by their Guru. Upon this ordination, the Guru assumes full responsibility for all the tattvagyan (spiritual knowledge) taught by them.

The feminine form of this noun is Pracharika (Devanagari: प्रचारिका; ISO 15919: pracārikā).
