maha-abhishek (Devanagari: महाभिषेक ISO15919: mahābhiṣeka) is an elaborate, sacred Vedic ritual where Hari/Guru are honored, and devotion is offered, by bathing Them with water or panchamrita (a mixture of five sacred substances).
