kanta bhava | कांत भाव
kanta bhava (Devanagari: कांत भाव ISO15919: kāṁta bhāva) refers to the devotional sentiment of viewing God as one's husband and loving Him accordingly.
Just as a wife in the world holds certain rights and expectations of her husband, a devotee with this sentiment sometimes expects love in return from God. Due to this subtle desire for personal happiness, this sentiment is not considered completely selfless.
