kapala kriya | कपाल​ क्रिया

kapala kriya (Devanagari: कपाल​ क्रिया; ISO 15919: kapāla​ kriyā) is the ceremonial breaking of the deceased's skull during cremation. This rite is traditionally performed by the eldest son or next of kin.
