kalakuta | कालकुट
kalakuta (Devanagari: कालकुट ISO15919: kālakuṭa) refers to the deadly poison that the demoness Putana smeared on her breasts in an attempt to kill the six-day-old infant Krishna.
This poison is so potent that ingestion is not required; mere contact with the lips is sufficient to cause death.
