Gita Jayanti

Gita Jayanti is celebrated on the 11th day of the waxing moon in the month of Margashirsha.
It marks the sacred day when Shri Krishna revealed the divine knowledge of the Gita to Arjun on the battlefield of the Mahabharata.

On the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Arjun was overcome with confusion, grief, and doubt. At that moment, Shri Krishna imparted the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita—a dialogue that transformed despair into clarity and weakness into strength.

The Gita is not merely a scripture, but a guide for life. It reveals the nature of the soul as eternal and indestructible, and teaches how to live in the world with wisdom, detachment, and devotion.

Shri Krishna explained various paths—knowledge, action, and meditation. Yet Arjun’s confusion did not fully resolve. Finally, Shri Krishna revealed the path of complete surrender. When Arjun understood that one who surrenders mind and intellect to God is freed from all sins, his fear vanished. He chose to act—not out of doubt, but in alignment with the Divine will.

For a seeker, Gita Jayanti is a reminder that confusion is not the end—it is the beginning of inquiry. When one turns toward God with sincerity and openness, guidance arises. The Gita is not meant to be admired—it is meant to be lived.
