dinata | दीनाता
Dinata (Devanagari: दीनाता; ISO 15919: dīnātā) signifies extreme humility or a sense of spiritual destitution.
The Reality of Dependence The jiva (soul) derives its consciousness entirely from God. It is through His power that the soul thinks, decides, acts, and even breathes. The very food essential for survival is His creation.
Furthermore, since the mind and senses are material, they are incapable of perceiving the Divine. Therefore, the notion that a jiva can attain God through its own independent effort is futile—even laughable.
The Practice and Reward Despite this absolute dependence, the false ego prevents the soul from humbling itself. Therefore, one must consciously practice cultivating this feeling of total destitution. The moment the jiva feels this completely, the all-gracious God bestows His Ultimate Grace (Adbhut Kripa), making the soul spiritually "rich" for eternity.
