Brahm | ब्रह्म
Brahm (Devanagari: ब्रह्म; ISO 15919: brahma) is generally used for the Impersonal aspect of God.
Literally, the word brahma means "the greatest", and is a term The word brahm used in the Vedas to describe the Supreme Lord as well.
📜 Etymological Derivations
The term is grammatically derived from two distinct root meanings that capture its essence:
- brihatvat brahm - one whose greatness is unlimited (i.e., God is infinitely great).
- brimhanatvat brahm - one who makes others equal to Him in greatness.
It is for the second reason that Shri Krishna is also called Brahm for He is the only one who possesses the power to others as great as Himself.
