ashta saugandhya | अष्ट सौगन्ध्य

The eight divine fragrances emanate from the divine form of Shri Krishna. They are called ashta saugandhya (Devanagari: अष्ट सौगन्ध्य ISO15919: aṣṭa saugandhya).

• the fragrance of His lotus face,
• the fragrance of the harichandana paste smeared on His body,
• the combined fragrance of harichandana and kumkuma,
• the fragrance of the tulsi strung on the vanamala,
• the fragrance of the various forest flowers strung into garlands,
• the combined fragrance of kumkuma and musk,
• the combined fragrance of kumkuma and and wild flowers,
• the fragrance of His lotus face combined with all other fragrances.
