anchala | आँचल
Aanchal (Devanagari: आँचल; ISO 15919: āṁcala) has two primary meanings:
- 1. Garment Feature: The border or hem at the loose end of a sari or chunari that is worn over the shoulder and sometimes used to cover the head.
- 2. Symbol of Affection: A phrase used to represent the love and protection a mother provides to her child.
