Anant Chaudas
Anant Chaudas, also known as Anant Chaturdashi, is celebrated on the 14th day of the waxing moon in the month of Bhadrapad.
It is considered an auspicious day, when one consciously turns the mind away from worldly engagement and toward God.
The word Anant means “infinite” or “endless.” This day symbolizes the pursuit of that which is eternal and beyond limitation. It is believed that actions performed on this day yield lasting spiritual benefit. For this reason, devotees dedicate the day to devotion—engaging in remembrance of God, listening to the divine pastimes of Lord Vishnu, and reciting sacred hymns.
For a seeker, Anant Chaudas is a reminder to shift focus from the finite to the infinite. Worldly actions always produce limited results, but devotion toward God leads toward the eternal. By using this day to deepen remembrance and engagement with divine knowledge, one aligns the mind with that which is truly unending.
