Virahini (Devanagari: विरहिणी; ISO 15919: virahiṇī) refers to a female lover who is suffering the pangs of separation from her beloved.

In the context of Bhakti (devotion), this term often describes a devotee (or Gopi) who experiences intense longing for the Divine Lord. While outwardly appearing as distress, this separation is internally filled with inexplicable bliss, as it signifies total absorption in the remembrance of God.
