tilaka | तिलक
tilaka (Devanagari: तिलक ISO15919: tilaka) is a marking in the centre of the forehead of sandalwood paste, saffron or other substances.
Shri Krishna puts black colored kasturi tilak or tilak made from musk. In material world the musk is a strong-smelling substance that comes from the gland of the male musk deer.
Traditionally Guru wear distinctive shapes of tilak. All His disciples wear tilak of the same type. Tilak serves as a reminder to oneself and also informs others.
