Sushupti (Devanagari: सुषुप्ति​ ISO15919: suṣupti ) is dreamless sleep.

God has given the jiva a mind. Mind is the worker. Its nature is to be constantly working. Mind is active even while sleeping mind. It is dreaming.

The material mind has a finite limit of the amount of pain and pleasure it can bear. Sometimes, God embraces His child the jiva . This is so blissful experience that mind cannot bear that bliss and falls unconscious. This is the state of sushupti.

God embraces the jiva to gives a glimpse of the divine bliss to attract the jiva to turn away from Maya and towards God.
