Shreya Marga (Devanagari: श्रेय मार्ग; ISO 15919: śreya mārga) refers to the Path of the Ultimate Good (the path of attaining God).
Its eternal counterpart is preya marga (Devanagari: प्रेय मार्ग; ISO 15919: preya mārga), the Path of the Pleasant. Both paths have existed since eternity, presenting the soul with a constant choice.
Comparison with Preya Since the jiva (soul) is superior to the material body, the pursuit of the soul's divine desire (Shreya) is inherently superior to succumbing to the fleeting desires of the mind (Preya).
