sandhya vandan | संध्या वंदन
Sandhya Vandan (Devanagari: संध्या वंदन; ISO 15919: saṁdhyā vandana) refers to a set of mandatory rituals prescribed in the Vedas.
These rituals are performed daily at three specific junctures—dawn, noon, and dusk—by individuals who have undergone the sacred thread ceremony (Upanayana).
Bhakti Perspective For those practicing bhakti (devotion), formal Sandhya is considered optional. In this path, the supreme rule to be followed is constant remembrance: always remembering God and never forgetting Him.
