Ragatmika Bhakti (Devanagari: रागात्मिका भक्ति ISO15919: rāgātmikā bhakti) is the spontaneous thirst of Shri Krishna-love in the hearts of the eternal associates of Shri Krishna.

The natural love of the inhabitants of Braj is the example of Ragatmika Bhakti. It is found in Nand, Yashoda, Subal, Madhumangal, gopis like Lalita, Vishakha etc. eternal associates of Radha Krishna only. This form of devotion cannot be attained by any sadhana for any amount of time.

सा कामरूपा संबंधरूपा चेति भवेद्विधा ॥ भ. र. सिंधु
sā kāmarūpā saṁbaṁdharūpā ceti bhavedvidhā ॥ bha. ra. siṁdhu

There are two kinds of Ragatmika Bhakti viz

Kamroopa Ragatmika Bhakti

The devotional acts motivated by pure love – sentiments is known as Kamroopa Ragatmika Bhakti (Devanagari: कामरूपा रागात्मिका भक्ति ISO15919: kāmarūpā rāgātmikā bhakti). They serve Shri Krishna in every possible way to please Him without any restriction of scriptures or decorum of society or clan etc.

कोउ कहौ कुलटा कुलीन अकुलीन कहौ
kou kahau kulaṭā kulīna akulīna kahau

"I don't care an iota bit of what anyone calls me". I love my Beloved and can go to any lengths for His pleasure.

Sambandhroopa ragatmika bhakti

Devotee has to serve Shri Krishna keeping modesty of the relationship in their minds.  The eternal associates of Dasya, sakhya and Vatsalya bhav serve Shri Krishna according to their respective relations with Him.

Once a devotee was fanning Shri Krishna. He thought deeply about his exclusive fortune of being privileged with this personal sewa. His eyes filled with tears of bliss and he became so besieged that he could not fan properly for few seconds. When he regained his awareness, he badly imprecated himself. A servant is supposed to serve the master for Master's pleasure. Not for his own enjoyment. The only aim of any service is to please the master wholeheartedly.

These Ragatmika - devotes have some relationship with Shri Krishna. But that is not the base or code of their love. The happiness of Shri Krishna is first and foremost objective in their life.
