Puja (Devanagari: पूजा; ISO 15919: pūjā) refers to ritualistic worship involving external offerings and ceremonies.
However, in the current age of Kaliyuga, external ritualism is not recommended as a means of God-realization. Instead, the scriptures emphasize Roopdhyana (loving meditation on the form of the Divine Beloved) as the only essential form of devotion for this age.
