pralaya | प्रलय

Pralaya (Devanagari: प्रलय ISO15919: pralaya) has a more popularly known means and an obscure meaning.

1. Dissolution. this is the common use of this word. It is a part of the cyclical process of creation. See srishti.
2. A state of devastation resulting in unconsciousness: one of the eight symptoms of divine love ecstasy. Also called murchha. See ashta sattvic bhava.

It is also written as pralay.
