pithasana | पीठासन

pithasana (Devanagari: पीठासन ISO15919: pīṭhāsana) is a low height stool to seat on for eating or while praying.

For kings an queens in ancient India it would be made of sandal wood. It would be decorated with intricate carving and studded with precious gems.
