Pitambara (Devanagari: पीताम्बर; ISO 15919: pītāmbara) literally translates to yellow garment.
It specifically refers to the ankle-length yellow silken cloth worn by Shri Krishna. The term is also occasionally used to describe His yellow upper shawl.
