Vedas are the rules book of divine law. It lays out the do and do nots. The prohibitions in the Vedas are called nishedha (Devanagari: निषेध ISO15919: niṣedha ).

In varnashram dharma there are many prescribed duties and nishedha .

In raganuga bhakti there is only one nishedha: do not ever forget Shri Krishna.
