nirvikalpa samadhi | निर्विकल्प समाधि

nirvikalpa samadhi (Devanagari: निर्विकल्प समाधि ISO15919: nirvikalpa samādhi ) is the state of the mind when it becomes totally inactive.

When the jnani attains brahmajnana , the highest achievement possible by following the path of jnana the mind goes dormant. When the knower ceases to exist then the triad - the knower, the knowledge and the knowable - is eliminated.

In this unwavering trance there is no consciousness of duality. The jnani sees nothing, hears nothing, thinks nothing, feels nothing, tastes nothing.
