nikunja | निकुंज
A shady alcove with sides and a roof formed by trees or climbing plants (an arbour) in the dense forests of Vrindavan is called a nikunja (Devanagari: निकुंज ISO15919: nikuṁja).
This is a special meeting place of Shri Radha Krishna for intimate pastimes in Vrindavan. Only by the grace of Shri Radha Shri Radha Krishna and Ashta mahasakhis get to enjoy the ras of these lilas.
