murchha | मूर्छा
Murchha (Devanagari: मूर्छा; ISO 15919: mūrchā) refers to Spiritual Swoon or Unconsciousness.
The State of Devastation Also known as Pralaya (Dissolution) in the context of divine love, this is one of the eight symptoms of divine love ecstasy (Ashta Sattvika Bhava). It represents a state of total devastation where the devotee loses all external consciousness.
Nature of the Swoon Unlike a medical faint caused by weakness or trauma, Murchha is caused by an intense surge of bliss (Ananda) or the unbearable pain of separation (Viraha). The vital functions and senses are suspended as the mind becomes completely absorbed in the sentiment of the Lord.
