jivanmukta | जीवनमुक्त

jivanmukta | जीवनमुक्त

A jnani who realizes himself to be a soul and not a body is called jivanmukt (Devanagari: जीवनमुक्त ISO15919: jīvanamukta ).

Jnanis in this state are also called atmajnani .

This state is generally referred to as self-realisation . Such a jnani is still far from the goal as he has not yet attained Nirakar Brahm .

Even though jnani is liberated from the bondage of Avidya Maya , he is still NOT liberated from Vidya Maya . At this elevated stage the jnani is still vulnerable as he can fall from this state.

Example of jivanmukt jnani is Jad Bharat before he developed affection to a deer fawn.
