gati | गति

1. Gati (Devanagari: गति; ISO 15919: gati) means speed and gait (a manner of walking or moving).
2. gati-agati (Devanagari: गति-आगति; ISO 15919: gati-āgati ) means going and returning. It is a aphorism in Vedanta implying the jiva leaves the body and goes into another body.
3. agati ki gati (Devanagari: अगति की गति; ISO15919: agati kī  gati) means shelter of the shelterless (or refuge for the destitute).
   1. Spiritual Context: It emphasizes that Hari/Guru (God/Spiritual Master) are the only ultimate refuge for the destitute soul.
