श्री गुरवे नमः
All Glories to my Divine Spiritual Master.
उत्तिष्ठत जाग्रत प्राप्य वरान्निबोधत ।
O material beings! Get up, awake and submit yourself to Guru to obtain spiritual knowledge.
दुर्लभो विषयत्यागो दुर्लभं तत्त्व दर्शनम् । दुर्लभा सहजावस्था सद्गुरोः करुणां बिना ||
Total abandonment of material matters and achievement of philosophical knowledge are unfeasible without the mercy of a genuine Spiritual Master.
तत्त्वं गुरु समं नास्ति ।
There is no entity equivalent to a Guru. He is veritable God.
कर्णधारं गुरुं प्राप्य तदवाक्यं प्लववद् दृढम् । अभ्यासवासना शक्त्या तरन्ति भवसागरम् ॥
Guru is our real mentor. He is the one, who is a unfeigned helmsman to take us across the ocean of the world. To be positive to reach your final destination, trust his words and quietly stay in His boat, Jumping out in the middle of your journey, is the harbinger of your utter failure.
गुरु बिनु भवनिधि तरइ न कोई । जौ विरञ्चि शंकर सम होई |
Even the sovereign personalities like the creator Brahma and Lord Shankar also can not cross the ocean of the world without the grace of Guru.
गुरु चरणों में जो हो गोविन्द राधे । पूर्ण प्रपत्ति गुरु पूर्णिमा बता दे ||
Complete surrender to the lotus feet of a God
realized Guru is real celebration of Guru Poornima.
gurur brahmaa gurur vishnuh, gurur devo maheshvarah, gurur saakshaat parabrahma, tasmai shree gurave namah.
Just like
- Brahma manifests creation; Guru manifests the Divine knowledge in the aspirant
- Vishnu sustains the creation; Guru protects that knowledge
- Mahesh destroys; Guru destroys the ignorance
Thus Guru is all three deities in one form. All Glories to Sadguru Sarkar.
