Maya covers the jeev with three veils. Abhanapadak avarana (Devanagari: आभानापादक आवरण ISO15919: ābhānāpādaka āvaraṇa ) is the second of the three veils.
In sat yug , treta yug , dwapar yug a practical jnani , who practiced spiritual discipline for thousands of lifetimes, could transcend it. After transcending this veil the jnani becomes jivanmukt jnani .
